Traffic, delays on Eisenhower Expressway in western suburbs after crash, police investigation — Joliet Community news

Delays were expected in the western suburbs on the inbound I-290 Eisenhower Expressway after a crash and police investigation closed three of four inbound lanes during the busy rush hour commute. In the 5 a.m. hour, three of four eastbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway west of 25th Avenue were shut down, Illinois State Police said, with Villa Park police also at the scene. Lanes were reopened as of 6:15 a.m. but delays were expected. Total Traffic Weather Network said drivers should expect solid traffic back to I-294. No further details were provided. NBC Chicago reached out to the Villa Park Police Department for more information. This is a developing news story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
